I stay over night in Tirana, and take the bus in the morning. I had many people tell me now that both Saranda and Vlora is much more worth to visit than Durres. I looked on the pictures and read reviews. So now it's 1 night in Tirana, 5 nights in Saranda, 2 nights in Gjirokaster, 3 nights in Berat and 3 nights in Shkoder.

Aug 18, 2021 · Excellent tour . Visiting Durres was worth the price but add in, lunch , the castle at Rodon and an excellent wine tasting at DUKA Winery conducted by the Winemaker. Good value , varied experiences from Roman Antiquities to this years barrel tasting and a fun informative guide.. I would recommend this day out to anyone.

You can do both in 10 days and don't look at the drive between north and south as a burden. You might visit a lot of stuff in between and enjoy Albania as you travel through it. Nothing in Albania is too touristy, yet.
